As first-year teacher in a 4th grade classroom, my students and I have learned A LOT together this year! I have some specific needs that are aided with the ability to move and get "wiggles" out. Usually, we are constantly moving and using all of the space in our classroom throughout the day. I have a diverse group of learners who benefit from individualized and small group learning. On a typical day we start with partner work and move to small group work. After lunch, we complete ten minutes of meditation followed by personal reading time. Then, we begin more small group work followed by partner work. This flow of partner, small group, and occasional whole group instruction allows us a variety of learning experiences!
