Having access to an LED light box will allow student to use photographs of themselves to create pop inspired self-portraits. The self-portraits will give them an opportunity to see themselves in their own artwork and my students typically do not associate themselves in their art. This will make a difference in their learning, because it will allow them to explore their identity not only in manipulating their own photograph but also supplementing the piece with original writing in the pop art style. Having access to the LED light box will allow students other opportunities in future projects to enhance images through layering.
