The average high school student never has the opportunity to work with commercial grade products to produce a commercial grade robot. My students need raw materials like Aluminum Plate Stock, Aluminum Steel, Rivet Nut Tool, Blind Rivet Countersunk Head Steel Mandrel, and several other materials to build their FIRST Robotics competition robots in January. These materials will enable our growing, diverse team to participate in the FRC program. Every year, the teams must build the robots from scratch requiring that we get new parts and materials every year. The weight and size requirements designate the types of materials that we can use on our team's robots. Without these resources, our team would not be able to compete at the same level as other teams in our regional competitions in Huntsville, AL; St. Louis, MO; Dayton, OH; and/or Cleveland, OH.
