Having a library center would give my students an opportunity to increase their reading skills and increase their love for reading. Currently we do not have up-to-date book titles for our class to read, and the selection is limited and damaged. Having a space where students can get comfortable with comfy pillows and have the opportunity to get lost in a book that they find interesting will only increase their love to pick up a book. Some of my students do not have access to books at home. Right now I make paper copies of books for students to take home in their reading folder, but the number of copies I am allowed to make is going to be limited next year. With this amazing library I can give students the opportunity to actually check books out and take them home and enjoy them with their families. Being able to read opens a whole new world of opportunities for students, and this project will increase their chances of learning to read.
