I will begin with the Chromebooks needed to teach and counsel my students. My counselees textbooks and my counselor desktop are a web-based program called Naviance. Our high school is in dire need of computers to service 1500+ students. Computer labs that were available in the past are no longer available or very difficult to reserve, as the necessity of technology to deliver curriculum has significantly increased. As I begin to request Chromebooks on donors choose, I will be able to support and direct small groups of students in their college and career search. Self-discovery helps students develop confidence and lays the foundation for their life today and in their future. Small group support, with the necessary technology, will uncover strengths and unique skills enabling students to discover their own potential!
