The raised bed, gardening supplies and gardening books will give my students a hands-on experiences to aide them in English vocabulary acquisition. It will afford them the opportunity to acquire new vocabulary in context and in an authentic learning environment. The activities I have planned are both interesting and exciting. Planting their own garden will make vocabulary acquisition so much less stressful and way more fun! They will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the vocabulary while listening, speaking, reading and writing. "When a teacher makes use of activities that have been specially designed to incorporate several language skills simultaneously (such as reading, writing, listening, and writing), they provide their students with situations that allow for well-rounded development and progress in all areas of language learning."
