In the coding program Tynker,that we use, it is essential to add background sounds and music to student projects. This requires the students to hear multiple sound clips, pick an appropriate one for their scene, and test it out in their project. Without headphones, the amount of noise and distraction in the classroom would be unbearable for some if not most of my students. These headphones are not just something that I want for my students, it is something that is essential to their success. With these headphones, my students will be able to focus on their work without the distraction of hearing other student computers. They will also not have to be self-conscious about their work since they will have the privacy to create their projects without drawing attention to themselves or their work.
