Students claim that they don't like to read, but in reality they just haven't met the right book. Introducing new genres to the students will open up a new world for them. They need to know that life is bigger than social media and their local neighborhood. I want them to experience new places, people, and situations. One way that I can accomplish this is through literature. This book allows students to view life through various characters. They get to see how the same situation can be viewed differently by others. Having this class set is not only eye opening, but has the ability to create life long readers.
