More and more research is showing that freedom, movement, and comfort allow children to learn best. My students need to be given every opportunity to learn at their best, and I’d like to give them the freedom of choice in where they sit in my classroom. I’ve told them all about the flexible seating options that I hope to try this year, and they are so excited! I’ve already purchased a few yoga balls and foam mats on my own, but would really like to give them more options to choose from that would best suit their needs. Some of my students could benefit from the movement and lower placement to the ground that the Hokki Stools and Go Anywhere Chairs would provide. Sitting still using regular chairs just doesn't work for every child. Being able to move their bodies while they're thinking and working would help aid them in learning and retaining the material, because they can better focus on the task at hand and not feel anxiously distracted. Others would benefit from being able to stand while working, which is where the standing desks come in to use. They all have different learning styles and preferences of seating, which is why I'd like to give them a variety of options that will help meet those needs. Please help make this a reality for our classroom.
