I am a second year, Pre-Kindergarten teacher in a rural, central New Mexico town. Our school is 45% free and reduced lunch. My class is ethnically diverse with a strong Native American and Hispanic influence. My goal as a teacher, especially at this level, is to introduce my students to what I hope becomes a lifelong love for learning that will guide them through college, and the work place. In order for this goal to be achieved I need to supply my students with the equipment and technology necessary. The majority of my students do not have access to technology at home, and my special needs students don't have access to equipment that would help them communicate and understand their needs and work correctly. I am hoping that through Donors Choose I will be able to provided the needed materials to help my students succeed.
