These headphones will continue to enhance and motivate the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My students are at various reading and writing learning levels. My students are eager and ferocious readers, but it will greatly improve their writing if they can listen to stories they love individually or in pairs and write summaries, change story endings, and create their own stories along with the same genre they listened to. These headphones and writing paper not only allows the students to complete a task they love but encourages independent reading at their own level. Including writing as an integral component will allow the students to share their thoughts vividly and make connections between the books they are reading and their creative writing. The best way to increase listening ability, and writing is to just do it. my students get the added benefit of being able to choose books that truly interest them. My students will continue to grow into stronger, independent listeners, readers, and writers. This project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
