Not every child learns in the same way. Nor does every child like to sit for seven hours in the same desk and chair setup. My project will provide three options for flexible seating options. Currently, students have to stand at the counter if they are using one of the classroom computers. The stools will give students the option to sit while the create. The pillows and chair will be added to the collaboration corner where students can work in teams on various projects. Children learn best when they are in a relaxed, comfortable environment. I haven't yet met a child or adult that enjoys sitting at a desk or table for seven hours a day. Children prove day after day that when they have options for comfortable seating, they perform better. With the fulfillment of this classroom project, my learners will be given the opportunity to make the best choice for themselves as to where they learn best.
