Reading is important especially in the lower grades. As a new teacher in a low income school, the library in my classroom is very limited. My students need a variety of books that are on their independent reading level and that are enjoyable and engaging for them. It is crucial for my students to develop a love of reading early on. These enjoyable and engaging books will ensure a lifelong love of reading. I believe my students will be motivated to read with brand new books for our library. They will be so appreciative of mine and everyone elses support.
