As a social worker teaching social skills in a lower socioeconomic urban school district, it can be difficult at times to obtain all the resources needed. Learning should be fun and I believe that utilizing therapeutic games and objects that children can touch and feel allow for easier processing of the required skills. Many of our students who have learning disabilities can learn easier through games and visuals. I work with various children who have learning disabilities and I like to make learning fun. They learn the skill then role play the skill in order to demonstrate the ability to transfer that skill into their daily encounters with peers.

About my class
