Working in groups teaches students leadership skills that can be used throughout their life. Being able to see and talk with peers around a table enhances their ability to understand and appreciate each others differences. Small groupings help maintain a friendly classroom environment so as all students feel heard and accepted. With the addition of the round tables in the classroom, student will be sitting at tables that allow group work and foster leadership and communication skills. As well as provide times to increase their communication skills. They will be close together, this will encourage sharing of materials as well as knowledge. Round tables helps in Science with experiments, ELA with sharing and paired/group readings and in math with mini lessons. These tables would ensure that all students were given the tools to improve their leadership and communication skills in a safe environment.
