The materials for my listening station will assist in the fundamental literacy learning for my kindergarten scholars. My kindergartners love reading time and are enthused by the many stories I read to them each day. However, many do not know how to read for themselves. In fact, the scholars in my classroom vary greatly in their literacy needs and ability levels. Therefore, the integration of my listening station can support improvement in reading comprehension, language, and writing development. In addition, the materials in my listening station will help provide the variety they need in order to help them be more successful students.
