My school is in Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. Even though many outsiders might consider this a relatively affluent school, 12% of the student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch. This year's 23 fourth graders are a group of kind, hard-working, and compassionate students. They have taken the learning opportunities they've been given and worked hard to do their best. I'm excited to see what growth they can achieve with an expanded selection of learning materials.
