The Construction Technology classes at Firebaugh High School are filled with young men and women who know how to work hard. My students love to be in my class where they can participate in hands-on learning. They are enthusiastic, creative and productive. They are goal setting dreamers who are studying and working their way out of the agricultural fields of Central California. Many of my students spend their summers working in the fields to buy their school clothes and help their families. They want a better life with more choices and better career opportunities. My students learn to build beautiful projects and gain life long skills. Students in my ROP classes learn many construction skills that have been put to use building things for our community and our school. Many have gone on to work in the construction industry as masons, carpenters, and project managers.
