I teach English as a Second Language to a group of linguistically diverse students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Many of my students have just arrived in the United States from countries around the globe. Some have lived here their whole lives but come from economically challenged homes, resulting in limited exposure to the world around them. They are all bright and talented children who simply need time to develop the language skills of their English-speaking peers.
