We are all about the story! Reading stories, writing stories, learning about stories. My class, READ.WRITE.CREATE. is an alternative choice class for seventh grade students who choose to postpone their foreign language choice until high school. This elective class was designed, named and conceived with the direct input of students. They wanted a place and tools to learn about using their creativity around the theme of literacy. Some students love to read, while others are learning how to read better. Students particularly love working with digital storytelling. They control the story, the visuals, the sounds to tell THEIR OWN story. We use the school computer lab and the iLife suite of programs from Mac.
