We need headphones wit microphones to help us become better readers! Students can record themselves reading, then listen to their own reading to improve their fluency. Since we want second graders to be fluent readers by the end of second grade, I want to incorporate this fun strategy to make reading fun! Recording themselves reading engages students, and boost up their self-esteem to help them become confident readers. They can listen to themselves read and learn from their mistakes. They can also listen to other students read and learn from their peers. Through the utilization of technology, they will become experts as readers!
