Students will use the composition books for interactive notebooks in math and ELA. These notebooks are used to give the students explanations of skills in ELA and examples on how to work problems in math. They are completed in class and can go home to assist with homework. They also are allowed to use them when taking quizzes and tests. Many of my students are diagnosed with some range of Attention Deficit Disorder. The privacy boards will help cut down on distractions and allow the students to focus when working independently. Dry erase gives the student the chance to make and correct mistakes with out erasing holes in their papers when they get frustrated. Any "fun" way to complete an assignment provides motivation to work toward completion. Dry erase is "fun" and also helps save money on copy paper!
