My beginning guitar class has over 40 students and we only have 10 books between all of these students. We need books that the students will relate to and enjoy learning. Many beginning guitar books are very cheesy and are appropriate for high school students. This project will make a difference because it will get a book in every students' hands. Many of my students currently have to use paper copies because we do not have enough books for every student. Sound Innovations for Guitar is a book that teaches all the boring parts that are necessary for learning music in a fun and innovated way. Students are playing actual songs within the first week. This class book teaches strumming and fingerpicking, pivotal rock and blues riffs, improvising, reading music, and music theory. It is hiding veggies in your pasta sauce.
