Recent research is showing that students are better able to focus when they are comfortable. The supplies I am requesting will offer my students a variety of ways to get comfortable. The stability balls will be available at our writing table so students can get some wiggles out while focusing on their writing. The beach chairs will go in a reading tent for students to practice reading to themselves and to a partner. The yoga mats will be available for students to use anywhere they would like to work on the floor. My hope is that by offering students more seating options, they will be able to focus better, leading to more successes in our classroom. When students feel successful, they are more confident, and this leads to even more success! Feeling confident and successful will help my students in all areas of their learning, making their school life that much better!
