Welcome to my music classroom! I teach Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade music at Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School located in the heart of Bushwick. My Pre-Kindergarten musicians spend the school year learning about the many different instruments, as well as the importance of how to keep a steady beat. My kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade musicians learn how to play the keyboard through materials provided to us by a wonderful organization called Music and the Brain. The students learn the fundamentals of rhythm and music literacy in addition to learning how to play various songs on the keyboard. My 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are my songwriters! We spend the school year writing our own songs and learning how to play the acoustic guitar.
