My students will be able to use these devices all throughout the school day. It will allow them another creative way to learn and discover the skills we cover in our classroom and provide me with a way to differentiate between students and their needs. Technology is our future. I love incorporating it into every day so that my students can embrace it and learn how to utilize it. These tablets come with free apps for a year! It also comes with a two year warranty that guarantees replacement in case of any accidents. That ensures that for the next two years, my students will have functioning tablets at their fingertips. These devices will be used in homeroom classes for reading books of their choice, playing Math games, or even uploading things they have done in class to their digital portfolio on the ClassDojo app or Seesaw platform. I will create folders for Math that have specifically designated apps they can play that reinforces whatever standard we are covering for the Unit. In Reading, students will also have a designated folder that will allow them to review and improve their reading, grammar, and vocabulary skills. I chose three different colors of the tablet in order to make differentiation easiest for myself. Each one will be designated for below, at, or above grade level and students will be assigned a color they can play on. For classes containing more students, I will create different folders and add numbers to the folder so each group knows which folder they can open in order to work on the activities I have selected.
