The requested materials will make a huge difference for my students because it will allow my students to make individual decisions about their learning. The materials that we have requested will help us to implement flexible seating in our classroom. Flexible classrooms give each student a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, while helping them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. The students will have a choice of a standing desk, rectangle small group table, floor height table, wobble stools and sensory floor disks to use in the classroom as well as staying at their traditional desks in the classroom. As a part of flexible seating the students will become responsible for their own learning experience in the classroom by finding a seating option that best fits them. This will help to promote responsibility and self-regulation in the classroom. As a classroom we are hoping to get these fun flexible seating option in our classroom in the future! The goal in this project is to allow all students to find place(s) to work in the classroom.
