As a guidance counselor, I serve the entire school. I took a picture of this class to highlight the many different countries represented. We have a total of 36 at the moment! Many of these students were unable to speak a word of English, yet through determination and an unwavering positive attitude have progressed despite some very real difficult obstacles. It's wonderful to see these smiling faces, however some have fled persecution from their home countries, and in several cases had to make a 7 month trip alone to get here. Providing essentials to our students fills a much needed void until they are able to find part-time employment and become self-sufficient.
