I teach STEM Math at a small off-site program for students in grades K-8 with autism and other developmental or physical disabilities. Some of our students live in foster care or come from families struggling with poverty, and all of our families deal with the challenges of raising a child with special needs. Our school community makes a special effort to enrich our students' lives and provide them with opportunities that they may not have access to outside of school. Our students thrive in a hands-on learning environment. Our school community is committed to educating the whole child and to providing our students with the same opportunities that they would have in a general education setting. Our school implements instructional practices geared to the individualized achievement of students' social, emotional, and academic goals.
