With the addition of these items in the classroom it will free up the students to focus on what they are actually working on because they have the tools to be successful. My students' disabilities can give them the need to move around in every situation and environment. These tools will help teach them how to use the energy they have in a productive way so they will be able to be successful in academic areas. Alternative seating such as the Wobble Stools, Balance Ball and Bouncy Bands will give them this outlet for movement and also work on their core strength. The Yuck-E-Balls will help cut down the amount of distractions and improve students' focus during small group and large group instruction. Finally, the clipboards will allow the students to take their work with them everywhere. Whether that be laying on the floor or going on an outdoor adventure, they will be able to bring their learning to a variety of locations.
