Students that attend E. H. School face great challenges due largely to the fact that they come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds. These tools/supplies will contribute in helping them overcome those challenges and achieving academic excellence! Since we are dealing with 53 minute class periods for Math, having a classroom set of calculators will definitely come in handy when solving lengthy problems. They will shorten the time that it takes to complete the problems, which will in turn give them more time to complete those necessary hands-on activities. I have a very diverse group of students which requires me to create stations in my classrooms to make sure that I am reaching every student through differentiated instruction. Having more technological resources would ensure that each child has the opportunity to research ideas, create projects, and complete necessary online assignments to help them succeed.
