I would like to provide each of my students with a bag of books to take home on a weekly basis. Having a book bag filled with books at my students' reading levels would provide them with the opportunity to read something interesting and different every day to get the much reading practice they need. The book bags will be circulated among the students throughout the school year. My students will also have the opportunity to take home higher leveled books as their reading improves. I know that simply providing books for my student’s at their reading level will help tremendously and will create long life readers. Many of my students are reading below grade level and I strongly feel that taking the time to practice reading at home is a necessity.
