I need to build and create a comfortable, safe, accessible, and fun learning/classroom environment for all of my students. I want my students to look forward to coming to their classroom everyday and using all the materials and resources provided for them in order to learn, grow, and reach their greatest potential. My students have various abilities, disabilities, skills, talents, and gifts; therefore, it is my job to make sure that I am meeting all of their needs as I am teaching. A crucial factor in effective and successful differentiation is not only in the accommodations and modifications of instruction, but also in the environment. Students need to have appropriate supplies and resources to be able to inquiry, research, participate, and learn while managing their impulses, hyperactivity, anxiety, and other disabilities. I would also greatly benefit from specific supplies and resources in order for me to be able to effectively differentiate, accommodate, modify, and teach concepts/skills to students who are at different academic, intellectual, social, and behavioral levels.
