Children with autism often have fine and gross motor difficulties. The motor planning required for these children to learn to coordinate different muscle groups at the same time is often challenging. These scooters are perfect to help my students improve both motor skills and coordination. In addition, my students would be improving muscle strength as they ride the scooters around campus. In addition, these scooters will allow my students to practice their social skills. Other students on campus will be interested in these scooters, thus allowing my students to interact with these other students. The scooters will provide a topic of common interest.
