The Apple iPad Mini and case allow learners to practice skills in reading and math computer-based interventions as direct instruction occurs with the teacher in workbooks or on the Smartboard. 25% of my students have exceptional difficulty paying attention with one type of sensory input. They are engaged by technology's dynamic visuals, consistent auditory cues, immediate feedback and responsiveness to voice, touch or type. Learners with attention deficit, difficulty controlling impulses and differences in learning abilities gain confidence as technology supports independence. Games purposed to strengthen basic fact skills in math and reading skills positively reinforce social skills of learners. Technology offers learners the opportunity for reciprocal teaching and cooperative learning as they master skills, teach and help one another.
