I am a K-5 special education teacher at a Title I school in North Carolina, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students who come to my classroom everyday, come to school as a place of consistency, comfort, security, and love. My students have a variety of disabilities, ranging from learning disabilities to Autism to ADHD to physical limitation. Their needs vary from academic to social to emotional and physical. My students are the most inspiring and motivating students I have ever met. They are absolutely my heroes.
