Children love to move, and they thrive on movement incorporated into their everyday learning. Bouncy bands attached to chair legs will allow my students plenty of "wiggle" opportunities while they carry on with their reading and learning. By enabling my students to release some energy, they will be better able to focus on reading and literacy tasks at hand. Under-desk cycles will help to mimic bike-riding skills that are great for this age-group and for building upon reading skills. These cycles will let my students have some foot action while they read in our reading station. What a perfect set of energy-releasing solutions for my five-year-old "fidgeters"! Our high-energy students will become more excited about reading and learning, because it will no longer require them to sit still in order to do so!
