Our class is a self-contained bilingual special education classroom. We are developing language and math skills on a daily basis. The students don't learn the same way as everyone else, and as a result we do things differently. For these students, school is particularly challenging, not only due to their learning struggles, but due to their language development. They are constantly navigating between their native language of Spanish (at home) and English (everywhere else). We try to make learning fun, and encourage multi-sensory, highly interactive activities.
