My students are AWESOME; however, they often have a very difficult time keeping still during instruction and independent seat work in class. Traditional desks do not offer my students the movement that they need to stay focused. Standing up while working will help my students stay focused and become better readers. I would like to offer my students two standing desks with swinging footrests. The standing desks will increase student engagement. My students will rotate, as needed, using standing desks to get energy out in a non-disruptive manner. This is an amazing way to keep students focused and working at the same time!
