"Books aren't just made of words, they're also filled with places to visit and people to meet". Reading enables students to see from the perspectives of the characters from their books, builds empathy, and helps foster a better imagination. One benefit of having a vivid imagination leads students to become better writers as well. Reading helps to build character of the reader. How terrible is it to tell a child that wants to read that the books they want to read is unavailable? Having a classroom library filled with books students enjoy makes coming to school more enjoyable for them, which leads to a better classroom environment and children who will become lifetime learners. Creating and nurturing the love of reading is always our ultimate goal.
