I can do it independently! Liberating Links to Life will provide high needs special education students with opportunities to learn the skills necessary to succeed in life after graduation from high school. I work with a group of high needs special education students in grades 9-12. I am working to incorporate volunteer work and training so that these students are better prepared to become independent, lifelong learners and have successful employment opportunities. We volunteer at the Sr. Citizen's Center helping with setting tables, custodial tasks, and washing dishes. We also help within our school and district. We started a district-wide recycling program. All collecting and sorting is done by the students. We assist in the lunchroom by setting up and taking down family style tables and chairs. We have collated for the American Cancer Society and school musical programs.
