My students need an iPad and case in the classroom to be digitally connected to the world around them. A large part of our math and science curriculum is to gather and interpret different forms of data and enrich the level of understanding of how we use math and science in the world. We also integrate reading and writing as much as possible to give students a rich learning experience with a variety of subjects. In science, students will specifically use the iPad as a tool to research different weather patterns to collect data from different parts of the world, and compare the data to the world they live in. In Math, students will use the iPad to video record an activity where they are determining surface area and volume to determine the number of small boxes that fit into a larger box. By donating to this project, you will ensure that students are provided with a rich and engaging learning environment that supports student investigation, problem solving and reflection on their connection to the real world.
