My students will read these books, like the Our Community Helpers Book Set and Mercy Watson Book Set, to develop their lifelong love of reading. Also, they will increase their reading levels by practicing decoding and comprehension strategies. My students will have access to these books in our classroom library and their independent book baggies. For struggling students, they will use the alphabet activities to practice their letter and sound recognition. My students will be excited to read these books to each other and their families! These books will be read at school and home. My students enjoy bringing books home to read daily. Families will be so happy to hear their growing readers bloom as they read these books!
