My students need four Osmo Genius Kits and four Coding Game Add ons, for access to technology that helps them to think critically and learn new skills. Students will be able to build on many of the skills we want our first graders to have, helping them with word solving, math and reading. It's more individualized, as students are placed in programs where they are at and move through it at their own pace. Having access to this technology will allow my students to learn early coding skills and think about how to integrate them with our project based learning curriculum. We currently have two Osmos in the classroom and this means that students get very little time with them each week. Adding four more would allow groups to rotate through each day, giving them frequent access to the technology and allowing them to become more independent and proficient with the technology, as well as the programs.
