The student population is getting more racially and ethnically diverse, however most of them are coming from low income families, hence the school being a title one (1). With the implementation of the Spanish immersion, IB, magnet and Global school programme students grades are improving every year and as a result this is causing more parents to send their child/children to Speas. This has resulted in a significant increase the student population. The classroom that I currently occupied is the art room. we have a storage department, a kiln room, an industrial drying rack, a white board, a desk top computer, and smart board.
