Many of my students have sensory and attention needs. They find it difficult to maintain focus and concentration in the classroom while sitting quietly at their desks. Getting out of their seat and walking around the room is distracting to other learners. My students need flexible seating options to allow for appropriate movement while they sit or stand to engage in lessons and complete their work. I saw in instant improvement on focus and concentration when I introduced two yoga balls into my classroom for seating options. These items will provide a wider range of sensory input options to create a diversified flexible working environment for my students.
