These books will make a difference in the lives of my students by being able to read about both the World Fairs of Chicago and the man who wrecked havoc on the city, H. H. Holmes. The objective of the project that will be associated with this novel is to historical contextualize the narrative of the World Fairs in Chicago while analyzing one of the key people in that time period, America's first serial killer! This Project-Based Learning opportunity will allow students to create portfolios on the historical and industrializing Chicago during a turning point in our history. This project will hit close to home with students because we are located just right outside of the city.
