I strive to always have my students learning through hands-on and engaging activities. In my classroom, we have an opportunity to do this everyday on iPad applications in reading, writing, and math. Students are learning meaningful and lasting skills through these educational applications, but our classroom is in desperate need of durable and dependable headphones to increase their learning. Currently, my students are attempting to use earbuds that seem to continuously pop out of their little ears or are using no headphones at all. Many of the programs they use are audio dependent and their success depends on being able to hear the application clearly. These over-ear headphones would strengthen the effectiveness of those programs by allowing students to hear clearly, minimize distractions, and increase engagement.
