My students will use the iPad in a number of ways that would amplify their school experience. The iPad would benefit my nonverbal students by allowing them to communicate feelings, choices, and answers during a lesson. Students will be able to walk around the classroom or school and still access the technology needed for them to communicate with their teachers and peers. Not only will communication opportunities increase but fine motor skills will improve as students have to navigate the iPad. There is an extensive list of educational apps that specifically target the population of my classroom. Having these easily accessible, along with data collection apps for me, the iPad will be a great tool that is constantly used throughout our day!
