At our school my students are busily learning the basics and taking their skills and understanding a step farther by serving their school and local community- making it a greener and more healthy through gardening, 4 R's projects and more. 75% of my students receive free-lunch and are from single-parent households. They live in both the concrete dominant neighborhood that surrounds our school and in the surrounding urban areas. They have big dreams, huge potential and the energy to make positive change now and in the future.
